Frequently asked questions

Ordering, shipping, delivery, models, and warranties — all in one place.

Models & the product

The DTC-1000F runs on 120 VAC and displays temperature in degrees Fahrenheit — ideal for North America. The DTC-2000C runs on 220–240 VAC and displays in degrees Celsius — for international shops. The iron itself is otherwise identical.

The Fabric Pro is purpose-built for heat-shrinkable aircraft coverings, including Ceconite, Poly-Fiber, and Stewart Systems fabrics. Always shrink to the temperatures your fabric manufacturer recommends.

The working range is 225°F – 355°F (107°C – 176°C), with a maximum of 355°F. The 800-watt element and extra-thick base plate hold your set temperature steadily across the entire plate.

Every iron comes complete with a non-slip, hi-temp silicone rest pad for setting the iron down during use, and an insulated storage bag that lets you pack it away even while the base plate is still warm.

The digital display reads the regulated plate temperature directly, so there's no constant calibrating. To double-check, use a contact or infrared thermometer on the center of the plate once it has stabilized at your set temperature.
